Nancy

The idea of creating the "Nancy" group belongs to the producer, poet and musician Anatoly Bondarenko. During his school years, he composed music and lyrics to create his own songs.
In 1983 he created the Hobby group, and it became popular in the Donetsk region. "Hobby" recorded the album "Crystal Love" in the studio of the Donetsk State TV and Radio Broadcasting Center, which was a cycle of songs of its own composition. The title composition "Crystal Love" was later included in the album of the "Nancy" group - "Fog-Fog".
Until August 1991, the group toured regional venues. During the collapse of the USSR, the Hobby group was closed. In 1992, Anatoly Bondarenko gathered new members for the group, including keyboardist and soloist Andrei Kostenko, with the prospect of promotion in Moscow. In the summer of 1992, studio recording of the new album began, which was completed by the end of the year. The technical work of the sound recording was provided by the director of the LIRA studio, Anatoly Vorobyov, and the creative process was provided by the Donetsk Academic Ukrainian Music and Drama Theater. The Moscow studio Soyuz assumed the obligation to promote the album "Nancy" throughout the post-Soviet space.
"The smoke of cigarettes with menthol" is the first album of the group, recorded in 1992 at the "Lira" recording studio (Donetsk). The song of the same name, which is borrowed from the Ukrainian folk song "Your dress is made of chintz", sung by the "Barvi" group, gained particular popularity from this album and was also published in large editions on many collections. In 1994, Nancy's songs were played on all radio stations in Russia. In 1995, the first CD was released. In 1995-1996, the group appeared on the air of the central channels of Russia and Ukraine. In 1996, on Channel One (ORT), in the MuzOboz program, the driver of the Wagon train Ivan Demidov named the Nancy group the best in Russia and No. 1 in the CIS
